![]() ![]() With zero code available and zero technical answers to these questions, occam's razor says that (unlike the real iMessage) it's probably not actually end-to-end encrypted, but rather Sunbird has the ability to view the messages sent and received through their service, and they are just using "end to end" as a marketing buzzword. If it is truly end-to-end encrypted, then why do messages need to pass through Sunbird servers at all? Can the messages not be relayed directly from the client to the iMessage server? Why do they say in their privacy policy that they collect text and call logs and "process your message"? With end-to-end encryption, the message body should already be unreadable to Sunbird at the point it's received by their server, so it would be impossible to "process" anything other than perhaps some metadata. I'm very skeptical that this is actually end-to-end encrypted as the video (and their FAQ page) claim. ![]()
